Jom Canting Batik!

On 17th March 2020, a small-scaled event being conducted by DUP4 students at the same time fulfilling one of the segment activities during HOTOUR Week 2020. Most of the participants among PMKu students consists of DHF3 and DUP5 students. Surprisingly, some of the lecturers also joined our program to show their support of Canting Batik. The event is lead by Muhammad Firdaus Fadzil as the program director, and I was assigned as the place preparation committee with Nur Atikah Munirah, Nur Nazatul Husna and Nurul Fatehah. We linked well with the guest from Bentan Batik in order to help them in preparing the frames of Batik. They provided 50 frames which consists of 3 different designs with signature of DUP, DHF and PMKu. Other than that, we also prepared the mat for the comfort of participants. This also could avoid the colour dye spill onto the floor.

As before they started colouring their Batik frame, a short briefing being given and some tips for the participants in decorating their artwork. She also quotes " there are no grimy in Batik, it's an art ". The participants enjoyed their Batik painting with full of colours. In the other hand, they also gained knowledge of science in blending the three basic colours to produce a new colour. For example, a mix of blue and yellow could result a green colour! Besides generating creativity, I realized it's more than art right?
