Tenun Pahang Diraja

On 10th March 2020, 22 students of PMKu majoring in Diploma of Tourism Management semester 4 are warmly welcomed by Institut Kemahiran Tenun Pahang Diraja Tengku Ampuan Besar Meriam (IKTPD) with guidance of three officers there. It was located at Kompleks Budaya Kg. Pulau Keladi, Pekan. 

IKTPD is a Institute offering vocational education based education. The concept of education at IKTPD emphasizes seventy 70% on the skills aspect and thirty 30% percent on the academic field. To enhance the skill level, trainees are given the opportunity to pursue industry training in successful craft companies. 

In 2007 the construction of the IKTPD was initiated following the launch and entry of new batch in July 2010 following the handing over of the building to Kraftangan Malaysia. The institute is equipped with weaving skills education which includes weaving halls, pre-weaving halls, lecture halls, libraries, computer rooms, drawing rooms, galleries and dormitories that can accommodate up to 40 students at a time as well as administrative and training office facilities.
